Stop Letting Your Business Run You
If you identify with this fellow entrepreneur, you’re obviously not alone. Unfortunately, I’ve heard so many business owners share similar stories. Now, I don’t know the full extent of everyone’s situations, and I know that everyone’s circumstances are unique, but if you want to get out of the business of having your business run you, here are 3 tips:
Don’t Stray From Your Bread & Butter: If commissioned work is what's paying the bills, you need to do that, but don't let it consume you.
Make Retention a Priority: Seriously, I love that you're out there selling to new people, that is important, but if you're sitting on a list of past customers and truly interested people, could you spend some of that time instead reaching out to people who have already converted in the past to see if they would want to buy again, or even refer a friend?
Schedule Time For What You Love: You started this business because you love what you do, but it's too easy for your business to just become your job. To prevent your business from running you, make sure you schedule some time to be creative and do what you love again! This extra jolt of energy may just help you sell your best work, or find your best clients…

Automated Retention That Should Make You Pay Attention
The Problem: Manually sending follow-up emails to past buyers or new leads is time-consuming and often gets forgotten, leading to lost business.
The Solution: Create automated email series to nurture new leads and win-back previous customers. Whether you’re using a tool like Wix Automations, or Klaviyo’s Flows feature, set up a 3-5 email series flow for each type of contact in your email list.
How This Helps: This automated digital marketing setup helps you generate revenue and build loyalty, all while you spend time focusing on your craft and growing your business in other ways. Just set it once, and forget it! (or hire an expert to also manage and optimize your automations on a regular basis…😉)
Pro Tip: Don’t stop at email! In today’s busy and short-attention world, SMS Marketing & even Push Notification & Messenger marketing are becoming even more popular. Experiment with alternating between marketing channels to see which one converts best!
